CHICAGO — After a successful debut in 2024, Chicago Fashion Week is making a grand return this fall for its second annual edition, promising an even more dynamic lineup of fashion-forward events, exhibits, and community showcases from October 9–19.
Organized by Chicago Fashion Coalition and led by local fashion advocate Carrie Lannon, the 10-day citywide celebration will host more than 50 events in neighborhoods across Chicago and the suburbs — from Hyde Park to Evanston — many of which are free and open to the public.
What To Expect During Chicago Fashion Week 2025
This year’s schedule includes a robust lineup of programming designed to spotlight diverse voices, local talent, and the city’s growing fashion industry:
- Threaded Stories: A Runway Show of Distinctive Fashion (Oct. 12)
- Stylist Symposium featuring Chicago’s most influential stylists (Oct. 16)
- The 4th Annual Chicago Fashion Showcase (Oct. 16)
- LatinX Gala blending fashion, culture, and cuisine (Oct. 18)
- Fashion x Interior Design Panel (Oct. 14) hosted by JC Licht & Luxe Magazine with top interior designers
Last year’s venues included celebrated spaces like the Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago Fair Trade Museum, The Silver Room, and Palmer House, setting a high bar for this year’s locations.
A Citywide Celebration Of Style And Inclusion
According to organizer Carrie Lannon, the mission of Chicago Fashion Week goes beyond showcasing outfits—it’s about celebrating diversity, accessibility, and community empowerment.
“It’s not just diversity in culture and ethnicity,” Lannon said, “but also diversity in the fashions presented — from elegant evening wear to edgy streetwear.”
The event aims to shine a spotlight on local designers, stylists, department stores, and small boutiques that form the backbone of Chicago’s fashion scene, while also driving economic impact in neighborhoods citywide.
“We want people from across the Midwest to come explore Chicago’s fashion and neighborhoods — not just Michigan Avenue, but Hyde Park, Pilsen, Bucktown, and more,” she added.
