What Consumers Should Do

Consumers who have purchased eggs from any of the listed brands or with the identified plant codes are advised to:

  • Check egg cartons for plant codes “P-6562” or “CA5330”

  • Verify Julian Dates between 32 and 126

  • Dispose of any affected eggs immediately

  • Thoroughly clean areas where the eggs were stored

Salmonella infection can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Young children, elderly adults, and those with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable.
