CHICAGO — One lucky Illinois resident is celebrating a life-changing win after hitting the jackpot in the state’s newest iLottery FastPlay game, Cash Castle.
According to Illinois Lottery officials, the player won more than $1.3 million in the progressive jackpot game on Friday, securing the second-highest Cash Castle win since its launch. The game, which costs $30 per ticket, starts with a $100,000 jackpot and increases in value as more tickets are sold across the state.
“It was a beautiful shock,” the winner told lottery officials, reacting to the sudden financial windfall.
While the identity of the winner has not been made public, a spokesperson confirmed the winner plans to take his children and grandchildren on a trip to Disney World, using the prize money to create lasting family memories.
The Illinois Lottery noted that the highest Cash Castle win to date was $1.4 million, awarded in April.
