CHICAGO — Police have released new details in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early Saturday in Lakeview, identifying the vehicle involved in the death of a well-known local performer.
Brendan Siddall, 26, a cherished member of the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, was struck and killed around 3:34 a.m. while walking in the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive near Addison Street, according to Chicago police and friends.
Vehicle Linked to Hit-and-Run Identified
Chicago police said the vehicle involved is a white 2019 Honda Accord with Illinois license plate FH49505. The driver fled the scene and continued northbound on Lake Shore Drive without stopping.
Authorities say that while the registered owner of the vehicle has been identified, investigators must still prove who was actually behind the wheel at the time of the crash in order to file charges.
