Summer’s brightest night is almost here! From fireworks to parades and festivals, Chicagoland suburbs offer lively, family-friendly celebrations for all ages. Here are the top events this Independence Day:

Key July 4 Celebrations

Barrington

  • When: July 4 | Starts at 9:30 p.m.

  • Where: Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St.

  • Highlights: Community fireworks visible from many spots. Plus, Brat Tent Festival runs July 2–5 with food, music & entertainment.

Wheaton (Graf Park)

  • When: July 3 | Festivities start at 5:30 p.m., fireworks at ~9 p.m.; July 4 Parade at 10 a.m.

  • Where: Graf Park, 1855 Manchester Rd.; downtown parade route

  • Highlights: Food trucks, DJ entertainment, games, inflatables, giveaways before fireworks.

Glenview (Gallery Park)

  • When: July 4 | Bike parade at 11:15 a.m., main parade at 11:20 a.m.; celebration begins at 6 p.m.; fireworks at 9:20 p.m.

  • Where: Gallery Park & downtown Glenview (Harlem & Glenview Rd.)

  • Highlights: Bike & foot parades, live DJ, concert band, food vendors and fireworks set to music.

Naperville (Frontier Sports Complex)

  • When: July 4 | Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

  • Where: 3380 Cedar Glade Dr., Frontier Sports Complex

  • Highlights: Free entry and parking (906 spots + 1,000 at Neuqua Valley HS), field and vehicle viewing options.
