AURORA, COLORADO – A man is dead following a shooting during an alleged robbery at an apartment complex in Aurora Monday night, police said.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the complex, where the victim and another man had gone to meet someone. According to the Aurora Police Department, that’s when the situation turned into a robbery, and the victim was shot.
The second man was not injured in the shooting and fled the scene when gunfire erupted. He later returned after police had arrived, authorities confirmed in a statement shared by 9NEWS.
Police Searching for Suspects
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, did not live at the apartment complex where the shooting took place. As of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made.
