PALATINE, IL — Police are searching for 63-year-old Charles Frazier, who was last seen Monday afternoon near the Deer Grove Forest Preserve in Palatine. His family and law enforcement are urgently asking for the public’s help.

Last Seen Near Forested Trails

According to the Palatine Police Department, Frazier left his home in the 1100 block of North Sterling Avenue around 3 p.m. Monday. He was last spotted on foot near the intersection of West Dundee Road and West Northwest Highway, adjacent to the Deer Grove Forest Preserve, a popular outdoor destination in the northwest suburbs.

Authorities say Frazier was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and black gym shoes at the time of his disappearance.

Family Shares Health Concerns

Frazier’s family told police that he has recently been exhibiting signs of dementia and may appear confused or disoriented if approached. While he was last seen walking, officials noted that he does have access to a vehicle and is known to frequent local parks in the area.

His physical description includes:

  • Height: 5 feet 5 inches

  • Weight: Approximately 160 pounds

  • Hair: Balding on top, black hair on the sides

The Cook County Forest Preserve Police have joined local police in the ongoing search effort.
