CLARKSVILLE, INDIANA – A popular Cincinnati-based restaurant chain is preparing to open its first Greater Louisville location next month by transforming a recently closed Hooters into a new By Golly’s Bar & Grill.
The new location at 941 E. Lewis & Clark Parkway in Clarksville is slated to open in August, occupying the same 4,500-square-foot space that Hooters vacated in June 2024.
Fast Expansion for Cincinnati-Born Brand
By Golly’s, which originally launched in Milford, Ohio in 1983, has seen rapid expansion since being acquired by Epic Eeats Restaurant Group in 2023. Under new ownership, the brand has grown from a single location to 11 across the region — and now, into a new state market.
The full announcement was shared by the Cincinnati Business Courier, which partners with Local 12 News.
Local Boost for Jobs and Dining Scene
The upcoming opening is expected to create dozens of jobs in Clarksville and bring pub-style dining, sports viewing, and a family-friendly atmosphere to the Indiana side of the metro Louisville area.
By Golly’s menu features American classics, draft beers, and an environment tailored for both weekday regulars and game-day crowds. The company’s expansion is part of a broader trend of Cincinnati brands reaching into southern Indiana and Kentucky markets.
