CHICAGO — A woman has been charged in connection with a downtown Chicago shooting that left a 33-year-old man seriously injured, according to a news release from the Chicago Police Department.

Suspect Arrested After Downtown Shooting

The suspect, identified as Kristin Holmes Tucker, 32, of the 700 block of South Financial Place, was arrested by CPD officers on June 21, 2025, just hours after the alleged shooting took place in the city’s 1st District.

According to the Chicago Police Department release, Holmes Tucker has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm. The incident happened in the same area where she resides.

Victim Hospitalized With Serious Injuries

Authorities say the 33-year-old male victim was shot and seriously injured during the confrontation. The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not yet been disclosed, but police confirmed the victim was found in the 700 block of South Financial Place.

The victim’s current condition has not been released publicly.

Court Hearing Scheduled

Holmes Tucker is expected to appear for a detention hearing at 2600 S. California Avenue on June 23, 2025. The investigation is ongoing, and police say no further information is available at this time.
