Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare Reopens After Modern Revitalization

CHICAGO — The Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare has officially reopened following a comprehensive revitalization, introducing a fresh, modern look and upgraded amenities aimed at enhancing the guest experience.

Strategic Location and Bold New Design

Located just under two miles from O’Hare International Airport, the updated hotel is now a flagship for both convenience and comfort. Managed by Maverick Hotels & Restaurants, the property has been completely reimagined with a modern aesthetic, including guestrooms adorned with murals and a transformed lobby featuring a standout art installation.

“More than just a place to stay, this hotel offers travelers a fresh and dynamic space where leisure and adventure collide,” said Robert Habeeb, founder and CEO of Maverick Hotels & Restaurants.

Elevated Amenities for Guests and Events

The refreshed Hyatt Centric now offers:

  • 206 upgraded guest rooms

  • A redesigned lobby and check-in area

  • Flexible event and conference spaces totaling over 7,600 square feet

  • Full audiovisual capabilities for professional functions

The hotel is positioned near major attractions including Rivers Casino, the Rosemont Theatre, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, and the Fashion Outlets of Chicago—making it ideal for both business and leisure guests.

Dining Experience with Local Partnerships

The hotel’s new restaurant, Cima, brings a Mediterranean-inspired menu to Chicago’s northwest corridor. With both indoor seating and a 50-seat patio that can be enclosed during warmer months, it promises a versatile dining experience.

Cima emphasizes local sourcing, with partnerships including:

  • Nichols Farm & Orchard

  • Ellis Family Farms

  • River Valley Ranch

  • Slagel Farms

“The hotel’s lobby, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and restaurant will inspire guests to explore the city and put them at ease when they return,” said general manager John Gill.

Architectural Vision and Future Outlook

The revitalization project was designed in collaboration with KOO Architecture and The Gettys Group, bringing together industry-leading vision for hospitality spaces.

This reopening also follows Hyatt’s broader expansion plans, including a 170-room Hyatt Centric hotel in downtown Cincinnati, as announced earlier this year.
