Pendleton Weather: Rain Ends Saturday, Temperatures Rise Toward Upper 80s by Tuesday

PENDLETON, OREGON — A brief bout of morning rain is expected to pass through the Pendleton area Saturday, but much warmer, sunnier conditions are just around the corner. Forecasters say Eastern Oregon residents can prepare for steadily rising temperatures and clearer skies heading into next week.

Showers Wrap Up Early Saturday Morning

The National Weather Service in Pendleton reports that scattered showers will linger into early Saturday, with the heaviest rainfall expected before 11 a.m.. Winds from the southwest will remain light at around 5 to 7 mph, helping to move the rain out of the region by midday.

Rainfall totals are expected to remain light, with most areas receiving less than a quarter inch. While wet roads may affect travelers on I-84 and U.S. 395, there are no flooding concerns anticipated.

Sunny Skies and Gradual Warm-Up Through Midweek

By Saturday night, calmer conditions will settle in, with temperatures dropping to the mid-50s. Sunday will mark the start of a dry, sunny trend, with daytime highs reaching 84°F. Winds will shift northwest, remaining mild.

The forecast improves even more into the new week:

  • Monday: Sunny, high around 86°F
  • Tuesday: Sunny and hot, with highs nearing 88°F
  • Wednesday: Continuation of dry, sunny weather, also with highs around 88°F

Overnight lows throughout the week are expected to remain mild and comfortable, making for cool mornings despite the daytime heat.
