CHICAGO — After a gray and overcast start to Saturday, the weather in Chicago is expected to make a sunny turnaround by the afternoon, bringing warmer conditions across the region.
Clouds Early, Sun Later
FOX 32 Meteorologist Mark Strehl reported that while early visibility was manageable across most of the metro area, low cloud cover dominated the skies through Saturday morning. However, those clouds are expected to lift around midday.
“As the day progresses, we’ll see more sunshine coming in,” said Strehl.
With increasing sunshine, temperatures are forecasted to rise into the upper 70s and may even touch 80°F in some inland areas. However, neighborhoods along the Lake Michigan shoreline can expect slightly cooler conditions due to the lake breeze.
Light Showers Overnight, Clearer Skies Ahead
Some areas experienced light rain showers overnight, but by Saturday morning, most of the lingering moisture had shifted south of the city.
No major precipitation is expected for the remainder of Saturday, making it a decent day for afternoon outdoor activities.
