One of Chicagoland’s treasures, the Park Forest Art Fair, will be held September 17 and 18 from 10 until 5, on the Village Green and along Main Street.  The fair features artists exhibiting in a variety of media from painting, printmaking and photography to sculpture, woodworking, glass, fabric art and jewelry. Our Kids and Family series continues with the timeless tale of a girl named Dorothy and her journey over the rainbow in the beloved musical, The Wizard of Oz. Next, we tackle Alfred Hitchcock’s madcap mystery, The 39 Steps, with 100 characters portrayed by only 4 actors. We will close our season with the feel-good classic musical, Singin’ in the Rain. In Air Play umbrellas fly, fabrics soar over the audience, balloons swallow people, and snow swirls, filling the stage. With stunning images and gales of laughter, Air Play bounces on the edge of definition: part comedy, part sculpture, part circus, part theater.

Since 1931, Wheaton Drama, Inc has been providing quality community theatre entertainment to Wheaton and its surrounding suburbs.  Opening our 2022-2023 season, will be the high-energy, foot-tapping musical, “Sister Act.”  The show runs from September 16-October 9 at our theatre located at 111 N. Hale St. in downtown Wheaton.
