Woman Sexually Assaulted in Chicago’s Lakeview Alley, Police Searching for 4 Suspects

CHICAGO — Police are searching for four individuals after a woman was physically and sexually assaulted late Sunday night in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood — just blocks away from the city’s Pride Parade festivities.

Victim Attacked in Alley Near North Wilton Avenue

According to Chicago police, the incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of North Wilton Avenue, where a 26-year-old woman was sitting in an alley when she was approached by two men and two women.

Police say the men physically attacked and sexually assaulted the woman while the two women were present. The group reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle, although no descriptions of the suspects or the vehicle have been released.

Taken to Hospital After Assault

The woman was transported to Thorek Memorial Hospital. As of early Monday, her condition had not been disclosed publicly.

The location of the assault was notable for its proximity to the 54th Annual Chicago Pride Parade route, which had stepped off earlier in the day, bringing thousands of people to the Lakeview and Boystown areas.

Investigation Ongoing, No Arrests So Far

As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made in connection to the attack. The Chicago Police Department is continuing its investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Call for Witnesses

Authorities have not stated whether any surveillance footage exists from nearby homes or businesses. Given the timing and location — near one of the city’s busiest Pride weekend gatherings — police are hoping additional witnesses or tips from the public may aid in identifying the suspects.
